Koniec wsparcia dla Windows 10 – co to oznacza i jak się przygotować?

 

Microsoft ogłosił, że wsparcie techniczne i aktualizacje bezpieczeństwa dla systemu Windows 10 zakończą się 14 października 2025 r. To ważny moment zarówno dla użytkowników indywidualnych, jak i dla firm – brak aktualizacji oznacza realne zagrożenia i konieczność podjęcia działań.

Co oznacza koniec wsparcia?

  • Brak aktualizacji bezpieczeństwa – nowe luki i wirusy nie będą już łatane. Komputery z Windows 10 staną się bardziej podatne na ataki.

  • Brak pomocy technicznej Microsoftu – nie będzie wsparcia w razie problemów.

  • Ograniczenia w nowych programach – producenci oprogramowania i sprzętu stopniowo przestaną dostosowywać swoje produkty do Windows 10.

  • Ryzyko prawne i biznesowe – korzystanie z systemu bez aktualizacji może naruszać polityki bezpieczeństwa w firmach, a także narażać dane klientów.

Jakie są konsekwencje?

  1. Wzrost ryzyka cyberataków – przestarzały system to łatwy cel dla hakerów.

  2. Problemy ze zgodnością – nowe aplikacje, drukarki czy urządzenia mogą przestać działać na Windows 10.

✅ Rozważyć wymianę sprzętu – starsze komputery mogą nie obsługiwać Windows 11. W takim przypadku konieczny będzie zakup nowych urządzeń.

✅ Alternatywy systemowe – dla części użytkowników możliwym rozwiązaniem jest przejście na systemy Linux (np. Ubuntu), jeśli nie ma krytycznych zależności od Windows.

✅ Plan migracji dla firm – warto już teraz opracować harmonogram wymiany lub aktualizacji komputerów, aby uniknąć przestojów i kosztownych niespodzianek.

 Podsumowanie

Windows 10 kończy swoją drogę. Pozostanie przy tym systemie po październiku 2025 r. będzie oznaczać poważne ryzyko bezpieczeństwa i brak kompatybilności z nowym oprogramowaniem. Aby uniknąć problemów, warto już teraz zaplanować migrację na Windows 11 lub inne rozwiązanie.

GuardLogic SC and the results of internet filtering tests

The websites dyzurnet.pl and saferintenet.pl recently published a report (available here) summarizing their tests of several home internet filtering (aka parental control) solutions.
GuardLogic’s flagship product, xTerminator, was among the applications tested. Although xTerminator is designed for the enterprise environment, it was part the comparison because of its unique ability to filter images from the internet based on their actual content.
While the tests were quite thorough, the GuardLogic team has some reservations regarding the testing criteria and the conclusions drawn in the report. One example is the decision to measure filtration efficiency as a function of the browser used. We believe that, since in some cases filtering/analysis of the content downloaded from the Internet takes place on a dedicated external server (xTerminator is an example if this type of software, known as content filtering proxy), the type of browser used should not affect the outcome. Also, many of the conclusions of the report are relevant mostly for client-based solutions and not to the xTerminator. For example, on page 23 the note that many solutions cannot cope with properly identifying foreign language pages containing only graphics - we believe that xTerminator is quite effectively in such situations.
